RSA provided electrical and mechanical engineering services to completely renovate the existing 76,000 SF hospital and construct a new 178,000 SF three story clinic. This was a multi-year, multi-phase project that required extensive design services and a large team of engineers and designers until design completion. The project included work in the following departments: administration, diagnostic imaging, surgery, acute care, labor and delivery, dental, behavioral health, wellness, primary and specialty care, kitchen and server, pharmacy, lab and eye care. Electrical design included new electrical services for the facility; a new 2400kW generation plant; normal, standby and essential power distribution; receptacle and headwall systems, power for kitchen and medical equipment, LED lighting and intelligent lighting controls; and cultural lighting.
Mechanical design includes: eight large air handling systems, perimeter heating, plumbing, and medical gas system. Specialty mechanical and plumbing design was provided for surgery spaces, dental, imaging, and laboratory spaces.
Additionally, the existing steam boiler system was remodeled to modernize and extend the life of the steam plant. The system was completely replaced with the boiler out to the hospital. This included new boiler feed water pumps, deaerator tank, clean steam generators, steam pressure reducing station, steam blown down separators and all new piping.
