RSA provided mechanical and electrical design services for this renovation and addition of the Willow Public Library. The project demolished the existing library and replaced it with a new 6,635 SF library and upgrade the attached 13,739 SF Community Center. The primary mechanical and electrical challenges included separating the existing library heating, plumbing, and power systems from the community center systems while maintaining a functioning building. During design development, RSA worked with the design team and owner to identify phasing requirements needed to maintain operation of existing systems while the construction was occurring. Mechanical scope included either all new or upgrade systems for plumbing, fuel oil, heating, ventilation, controls, insulation, and testing/balance of systems. Electrical scope included either all new or upgraded lighting, power, and distribution.
