South ANC High School
RSA Engineering provided mechanical and electrical design services for a new 243,000 SF high school. The innovative design was divided into two sides – academic and administrative – with an enclosed spine connecting the two. South Anchorage Area High School uses the latest technology to provide a learning environment that is both user friendly and state of the art with regards to building ventilation and energy conservation, building lighting and lighting control, telephone/data and information technology systems.
This project earned RSA the 2006 Citation Award by the Architectural Jury of the American Association of School Administrators; 2005 AIA Alaska Honor Award; and Finalist for the CEFPI James D. MacConnell Award.
