City of Valdez Fire Station 1 Replacement

RSA Engineering delivered high-efficiency mechanical and electrical systems for the new Valdez Fire Station to support 24/7 operations, life safety, and energy-smart emergency response.

Modern Infrastructure for Public Safety

RSA Engineering served as the mechanical and electrical subconsultant to Wolf Architecture for the design of the new Valdez Fire Station. Replacing an outdated facility, the new station was built to support modern emergency response operations and long-term community needs.

RSA provided full MEP design and construction administration services for this multi-functional building, which includes administrative offices, dormitories, a training tower, apparatus bay, and support areas. Every system, from radiant floor heating to networked lighting controls, was designed for efficiency, reliability, and seamless integration with the City of Valdez’s existing infrastructure.

Optimized Heating

In-floor radiant heating and fintube systems deliver comfort across distinct zones. Heat recovery ventilation and a 2,500-gallon fuel system ensure year-round reliability and efficient thermal performance.

Smart Power

A 150kW diesel generator with load bank provides critical backup. RSA integrated LED lighting, access control, and life-safety systems, all designed to meet Valdez Fire Department’s exact performance and code requirements.
